Prenatal appointments will be scheduled at approximately four week intervals during your first seven months, every two or three weeks during the eighth month and weekly during the ninth month. You will see your doctor during every prenatal appointment. You may wish to schedule one of your visits to meet the other doctors. The physicians are on a rotating call schedule but will make every effort to deliver your baby even when not on call.
Return to about usIf there is an emergency after office hours (before 8:30 a.m. or after 5 p.m.) call our office at 330-345-2229 and the answering service will relay your message to the physician on call. If you water breaks, if you have bleeding as heavy as a period or if you are having regular contractions (5-7 minutes apart that last 35-45 seconds), please call the office number. When calling the office, please identify yourself and explain your current situation.

Return to about usOur fee is a single, global fee for the obstetrical care, which includes the prenatal visits, one ultrasound, the delivery, all follow-up hospital visits to the mother and the postpartum examination in the office. The fee does NOT include charges for non-routine obstetrical admissions to the hospital, laboratory tests, ultrasound testing, stress and/or nonstress testing, hospital fees for delivery, anesthesia, etc. We encourage you to discuss any problems with reference to payment of the fees with the appropriate office personnel. As a rule, we ask that our fees be paid during the course of your prenatal care, prior to your delivery date. If you have no insurance coverage, we will be happy to assist you in applying for cost-effective payment plans or directing you to state agencies that offer coverage for low-income individuals. We belong to most insurance networks. Please contact your insurance carrier before making an appointment to verify that Wooster OB-GYN is one of your approved carriers. If we are not part of your network, we would be happy to accept payment and give you a claim form to submit to your insurance for direct reimbursement.
